About Me

I am a licensed psychologist based in Austin, Texas. Working with clients one-on-one is my favorite part of my job, and I also enjoy teaching and consulting, and I regularly attend and present at international conferences. Prior to opening my clinical practice, I was on the faculty at Purdue University, and published several peer-reviewed papers related to personality, assessment, and social and emotional health.

I grew up in middle Tennessee with hot summers and high quality music, and after years of moving around for my education and career, I’ve found myself more than at home in Austin. I’m happiest outdoors and especially enjoy rock climbing, bike riding, paddle boarding, and quality time with my family, friends, and two dogs. I’m also a volunteer mentor with Explore Austin.

I am a general practitioner and have studied and trained to work with people managing various types of psychological goals and problems. I focus on functions and patterns of behaviors, emotions, and thoughts more than specific disorder categories or strict treatment modalities. I like to work with people from all cultures and backgrounds and affirm all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. I like working with different types of people and problems areas, and I especially have expertise and extensive training in the following areas:
